PC Show 11-14th June 2009

Its time for Singaporeans to show off how much they can spend again!

I'm always amused at how much electronics, gadgets that Singaporeans can swallow every quarter at the PC Show or PC Fair. So what's on your shopping list this June?

Dun forget to check out all the prices before going for the PC Show. The prices may dip a little at the show, but sure ASK for FREE GIFTS! Plus, the deals usually get GREATER on the last day if you are prepared to face the SEA of people trying to grab the best deals as well. But its always fun to go soak in the RICH atmosphere of watching others make a great bargain. Keeps our minds away from the brutal reality of the poor economy (or what's left of it)

If you dun wish to squeeze with the thousands at the PC Show, then head down to Sim Lim Sq or Funan Center, they'll match the fair prices & offers as well. Found this trick to be useful as these normally very crowded places, will be empty and deserted!

Enjoy!

Great Sat!

Last weekend was full of freebies!! Hee, my favourite.

Signed up for Celebrate Women event by HP and CC. Without a clue, I headed for the event looking forward to the freebies but instead, I got more than just freebies!

Irene Ang was the host for the show and shared with us some of her secrets of being a women today.

Some of the tips which I found particularly useful was towards time management!

1. Look at your current lifestyle now and calculate the amount of time you spend in the following few categories (1 week):
a. Sleep
b. Work
c. Exercise
d. Travel (to & fro meetings/work etc, not go HK shopping hor!)
e. Family
f. Balance = Me time!

She looked at her life 3years ago and found that she spends 15hr/day working, leaving no time for family, exercise or herself! So she did a revamped and put a 10hr max break on her work daily for 6days a week. And found that she's got more than 20hrs for herself in a week! Cool eh?

2. Wanna exercise but dun want to spend alot of $?
- make use of your time infront of the tv to do crunches, stretching, sit ups, skip a rope etc.
- start with commercial breaks, just short sessions to tone your body
she started with that and did just 10crunches/day and now... she's at 150/day and she rests only during the commercial breaks! interesting eh?

3. Junk it!
-discard bad habits/habits that you do not like
eg. eating junk food that will make you flabby? hee...
eg. sleeping late and gives you eye bags?
eg. bad or no skin care regime that will cause you to look really beyond your age?

- discard "friends" that do more harm than good for you
eg. friends who keep calling you up with their problems, need your counseling/time/comfort. Yet, year after year, the same problems occur to them! So they dun really take your advise to change their lives. They may actually enjoy getting into the same mess that they keep getting themselves in. Since its not a life that you may want, Junk them!
eg. friends who enjoy taking advantage of you, borrow $ etc. Well, you dun need to waste time on pest management do you?
Irene does a spring-cleaning on her friends annually by actually deleting their contacts off! ha ha... interesting!

At the end of the event, we were given a goodie bag! Full of goodies! hee...

I dun really need some of the items inside, anyone interested in the HP Home Kit to build a calender? Just pay for shipping!

Then as I walked towards Bugis Junction to meet Ad, I walked in Fasio's road show and got another freebie! hee
Fasio Perfect Cleansing Oil

THEN, I remembered that I was offered a free demo at the SKII counter, since I got a bit of time before Ad appears, I did my free trial on their whitening series and was surprised that the effects of the whitening products lasts 3days! Here's a fresh picture taken today, 3days liao lor!

And SKII wont let you go home empty handed right? So they gave me some freebies too! Hee...
