When Economy is down, Baby making goes up?

This is just a personal observation.

Since late 2008, world economy has been spiraling downwards. So folks cut back on their spendings. Instead of hanging out, they stay home. With more time spent at home, more hanky panky goes on?

Let's see.... how many pregnancies this year...

There's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. All due either late this year or early next year. And these are just my personal social circle. Why not earlier? Why not later? hmm......

What does that tell us?

If Sg govt wants higher birth rates, just keep the economy down! They are inversely related!
