Saw this film on HBO recently, besides the natural humor of the film that got me hooked onto it, there was something that stroked me really hard too! It was a dialogue between "god in the film" and Joan (wife of Evan) in the restaurant ...

"god": Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous?
