This is one of my favourite times of the year, because I know that Christmas would be round the corner! And after receiving Christmas presents, it'll be time to prepare PineApple Tarts (PATs) which leads on to Chinese New Year celebrations! Yahoo!
This year's Thanksgiving was kinda abit too short for me, I was up in the air and did not have anyone I know to celebrate it with me. However, there are tonnes of things that I'm thankful for.
1. I'm thankful to be alive, really, with all that chaos that happened around the world, it could be me who got shot in some terrorist crossfire. But I'm not, I'm very thankful that I'm alive to be able to spend meaningful time with my hubby, my family and my friends.
2. I'm thankful for all the blessings that we've been blessed with. Its really amazing how God gives so much MORE than what we have offered. Even under the scorching hot sun when I was melting away waiting for a fren to show up, I looked up at the sky and there were such beautiful cloud formations that just took the heat off my mind!
3. I'm thankful for my hubby who constantly tries to work towards our common goals and making our family a priority in his life. :D *muaks*
4. I'm thankful for my many many many good good friends who have lend a shoulder, a listening ear, given me great advice, provided a cheerful joke to jumpstart the week, filling up my life with their cheerfulness, support and care. (not forgetting the shopping angels hee hee) Thank You folks! Love You!
5. I'm thankful for TECHNOLOGY! haha, I bet some of your reading this will laugh out loud!
But well, this year, I found quite a few long lost friends through technology so that's COOL!
6. I'm thankful that I got to spend time with my mum and family whom i rarely see if I was working full time. I believe this is important because there will be no other time when I can have lunch with mum whenever she cooks. This sense of comfort knowing that her daughter is just a phone call away is what no money can buy. And I believe, its pretty assuring for a 73yr old granny who has two pretty trying grandkids at home. Plus, I get a really lovely relationship with my nieces who are growing up to be very cheeky kiddos whom I cant wait to show them what cheeky things they can do! hee hee
7. I'm thankful for having such a lovely home, I miss my home whenever I'm not at home. Does it sound strange to some of you? I think I've really grown super HOMELY haha
Ok, that's my top 7 Thanks for this year. What about YOURS?
