Jacky again!

I have a lovely relationship with Jacky, back in 2002, when Ad and I went to New York for the first time, experienced our first white Christmas, we were also very fortunate to attend his 2002 world tour in Atlantic City. It was such an awesome experience, to be in America but totally surrounded by chinese people, I have not seen so many chinese concentrated in one place ever since his concert (In a non-chinese dominated country lah).

And the first time he came to Singapore (1997) to perform his Muscial: Snow, Wolf, Lake in cantonese, I was estatic that my eldest bro got us (me and my sis) tickets for it. It was such an unforgettable performance, the storyline was simple but the music was so touching that I actually fork out a substantial amount of $$ to buy its CD (back then, anything more than $20 is alot!! but I cant remember how much the CD cost....) No regrets forking out that $ for the CD because its the MOST heard CD on my iTunes list hee hee... I never grew sick of it, simply because its so lovely.

Jacky came back to Singapore again for his second Snow, Wolf, Lake performance in 2005, I was so excited that I rounded up all those Cantonese-loving fans to attend his concert only to realise that it was in mandarin! Aiyo! For those 1st timers, it was a great performance, but for us who have heard the best, mandarin version just wasnt enough. . .

A week before his 2007 World Tour, a friend told me that I might be lucky enough to get a pair of FREE tickets to his concert! I was again ecstatic! Hee hee... I just had to negotiate with another pal for it, well, eventually he caved in after watching me jump up and down in joy on hearing that I might just possibly be able to attend the concert.... Thank You my dear friend.

It was an unforgettable night! Jacky's voice was unbeatable, the way he adjusts his tone, depth, volume to bring out the best of each song was simply breathtaking! I wanted the night to lasts forever! I think this was Jacky's BEST performance next to his premier SWL in Cantonese. MOST of his music for the night was in Cantonese, it was so lovely, there was a great mix of new and old songs, he sang and sang and sang, not a single break in between his 3.5hrs performance! Amazing for a 46yr old performer.

Here's something to remember the night by...
