BBQ with Class

How many of you have had a BBQ with proper culinery?

I'm talking about setting the table with a table cloth (proper cloth kind, not those yucky plastic ones...), proper procelin plates (not plastice ones), proper fork and knief (those that you can actually cut things through not those plastic ones), have a glass of wine to sip before dinner is served?

Oh, yes, its still at east coast park's bbq pit.....

one day, one crazy guy went to book the pit at a AXN machine and ordered for this high-class bbq to be carried out... one group was responsible for dressing up the dining table and providing the wine and tableware. Another group was responsible for the bbq stuff like charcoal and food (which was beef, bacon and onions).

Can you believe that we are that bo liao? enough to set up a pit to burn down 2bags of charcoal for almost 2hrs before we started cooking the beef? yes... we did that.... yes.. its confirmed... we're CRAZY! ha ha ha... here's the photos... enjoy!


oh, i forgot we had a cheese platter as well! for pre-dinner snacks... hee.. actually we were really hungry! We ate up ALL the cheese and crackers before dinner had started to be cooked! Because the chef say that the fire was not ready YEt!


the fire when it first started, after alot of effort to shield the wind away from the "ta ma" super siong boy! even the aluminium tray came out to help....


the containers to bring food, drinks, ice, chill the wine etc.... kitchen towels to wipe hands, even got soap and water for washing hands.... yes, we came prepared...


in the spare time (while waiting for the BloodY fire to be ready!!) we lighted up some sparklers and poked them around our little makan space hee...


finally the fire was ready and the cooking started! Yipee!


do you notice that there's ONLY beef, bacon and onions being cooked? yeah... so much effort for cooking so little food.... was looking out for the chicken wings, sausages, marshmallows etc....


the haze was pretty bad as well, so we set up our own ANTI-haze device... to "return" Indonesia some of their smoke....


but our efforts were so futile, the wind was stronger then my mini snoopy fan! darn... i'll bring a bigger fan next time....


finally.... FOOD! it was absolutely delicious!!! and very momerable too! Now, I'm looking forward to MORE bbq BEEF ha ha ha... we're so pampered!!
