To put up or not to put up....

i'm sick of having to mentor kids in the lab. not only are they ungrateful rascals, who constantly fail to listen to instructions, but also arrogant fools who think that their 10weeks of "research" makes them a scientist.

Yet, my boss is constantly pushing my limit on this. Again and again, he throws me students in bunches, drips and drapes. Often highlighting the usefulness of their "research" to the overall big picture of the lab. Unfortunately, after a few of such cases, I've not seen or even heard their results much less their contributions.

yep, there's another of such student coming in.....

I'm losing faith in both the "research" and my boss.

should i have to put up with such nonsense?

(thankfully, this time, i'm a indirect supervisior.... but i'm not looking forward to having another idiot in the lab who will potentially mess it up and cause unimaginable disruptions....)
