is the list of reasons too long?

just look at the delicious looking babe, how could anyone say no to it?

NB: Casen if you are reading this.... this will DEFINITELY apply when i'm 65! *wink*

Hello New Love

recently, under the disguise of friendship, we've been doing a fair bit of road test with brand new cars with a bunch of friends. (cos they back-side itchy want to buy CAR)

After testing the Vios, Altis, A4, Lancer, Focus, Gen2, Waja..... I've finally found my new love.

Its the newly launched Latio by Nissan. The comfy driver seat that simply welcomes you with open arms is an amazing smooth feel. The drive off was equally impressive for its tiny body (yet roomy space). The huge difference that I felt with it was the turning angle of the wheel, smooth and snug. The pickup is pretty good for a full load (got ALOT of pple in the car, we had to reject those who wanted to use the boot space).

What i simply love about it is... it is absolutely a smooth drive from 0-100kmh. NO noisy change of gear sound, no sudden jerk can be felt. You feel so safe and protected by the drive that you will totally over look all the other fringe benefits.

Go try out my NEW LOVE today!

Nature Never Fails to Amaze Me

Just as I thought that trees are trees, grass are grass. Nature has once again amazed me....

On my previous walk to Bukit Timah Hill, see link below:

As we were enjoying the cool hilly air, we came across WWII bunkers! One that tunnels through to the other side of the hill... you can actually see light at the end of the tunnel! hee... (yah but this is not nature right?)

We walked to an area where the air smelled different. Somewhat Fragrant. Almost like there's perfume in the hills. Hmm... its a light refreshing scent that came from yellow flowers grown out from the BARK of a tree! Yes from the BARK no kidding. Amazingly, it caught all our attention not just with its fragrance but how uniquely positioned it was. Normaly flowers bloom at the end of a branch or on the branches of a tree.

Never have I seen such an unique flower growing out of a bark!

And all along, this amazing tree with its unique flowers is growing in our own "backyard" (aka Bukit Timah Hill).

So how well do we know our natural habitats in Singapore?

Line Dancing in Heartland HDB Hub

We all know how popular the Toa Payoh HDB Hub can be over weekends. But did you know that they even have Line Dancing?? Yes! In the open area between the row of shophouses and the HDB hub! (Right infront of the 7-Eleven, so clever hor?)

They danced to cool pop music which attracted large crowds. Very clever of the organisers to use this high traffic area to promote healthy living with a POP twist!

Cupid on the Move

I write with much urging from Jen for this segment that seems to be popping up with all our friends. Cupid you ask? Yeah, exactly what we did think too.

Case 1: I've always been trying to set up these 2 friends and the guy friend whom I know well has always lamented his inability to find a girlfriend, to settle down, that everyone is so bliss in their relationship and why he isn't in one. And he's a really great guy you know. Well, just when everyone was on the look out for him, he surprises us with a "I'm attached!" declaration. No thanks to the fact that it was during a really busy hectic period that this become a reality. "WHAT!" came the response from all who knew! I was shocked! And he followed to explain how cupid had hit. Driving down the road, a lady driver bumped into the back of his Mazda 3 (I had heard this one from him and was already going silly lady driver who now had to pay big time $$$). And yeah, you would have guessed by now, they're an item.

Case 2: Cheesy. And it really did happen. A friend was on board the plane (SQ no less) and asked the stewardess what lovely perfume she was using and if it was something available on duty free. naturally, it was and he proceeded to purchase the item. When it was all ready and packed for him, he had to be cliche and said it was a gift for her. (duh, doesn't she already have a bottle of it? maybe more?) Well, she accepted anyway (perhaps his goodlooks won her over). Arriving at the destination, he had to go to the hotel where the SQ girls stayed, sent a bouquet and asked for a dinner date. To think she accepted and they are again an official item. LIKE DAT ALSO CAN ONE MEH?

So now, I've just been shocked that a closer buddy who's never had time for girls, totally stuck deep in his law practice is now attached. he informs me he is attached and a day later sends an SMS that goes "Bro, wanna tell you that I'm getting married soon." Shotgun?? Well, he's yet to come back with the story but I'm getting to the bottom of this and trying to figure out cupid's recent expositions and he's really on the ball with the weirdest arrows....

Well, I still have a heart and wish my buddies well. *wink* - Ad

Sound of Sloppy Slippers

We all were slippers. To go for walks, to go to the neighbourhood shops to get bread, to dress casually for an outing etc.

But at work.... it suddenly dawn upon me that the sound of someone walking around in slippers can sound superbly SLOPPY!

The dragging sound of the slippers really go Flip Flop Flip Flop. No wonder some people call them Flip Flops.

Maybe you would wonder why would I be hearing these sounds considering the high harzardous environment that I work in....

One of my collegues caught some yeast infection on his feet from his brother. So in order to keep his feet dry... he was advised to wear slippers whenever he can. For the past week... the sounds of the sloppy slippers has crept into every "hardworking" mindset that I have.

I can almost became lazy instantly upon hearing those slippers.

*pray that his feet would recover SOON!*

Bukit Timah Hill, Super STEEP Slope UPwards

yes... it may seem crazy to most people, but me and my bunch of colleagues took a 60deg incline walk up Bukit Timah Hill right at the begining of our walk. Without any warning, the 10min walk almost felt like 1hr... the slope was gradual initially, it was like a pleasent upslopey kind of walk. Then it started to get more nightmarish as the slope became steeper and steeper, I can feel the strain in my cuff muscles, telling me that its too much exercise in the early morning. It is not warmed up yet!!

After enduring the pain in the muscles, we finally reached our destination and started the real WORKout. We had to navigate through some dangerous plants that causes itchy as well as those that has thorns growing out at all odd angles. I had a string of them hooking onto my left cheek! Had to slowly unhook them from my face (hope I'm not disfigured yet...)

It was amazing COOLing up there in the hills! Amongst the trees, there's a calm sense of serenity, almost away from the real world of WORK.

As we walked, we hear the birds chirpping away, monkeys screaming away almost like we are in a forest where you have to trek for days to get out!

We also encounter quite a lot of other patrons of the hill, with their exercise gear, towel and a bottle of water in their hands, they look ready to take on the slopey steps and the serenity of the hill.

I really did not know that there could be so many people exploring the bukit timah hills on a weekday morning. But I'm sure glad to have this place for some cooling wind and a pleasent getaway.

More walks honey? *wink*

Mr Monster is a Girl...

At heart...

just look at how cosy he looks with his wifey's handbag!

we just had tea at a scenic place called Little Bali off Alexandra Road. The cafe has an outdoor garden decorated in balinese style even with a Balinese doorway. For those couple who wants to fake a holiday in Bali... here's one of the best places to take some photos and deceive those inquisitive folks at home. *wink*

Washed Skies

It has been pouring for two days. Each time it rains, its always cats and dogs, the whole sky is filled with gloomy grey clouds, gutsy winds seems to attempt to break into the most tight spaces.

Watching the wind-blown leaves at the canteen arouse a sense of fear in me. Fear of what the unknown forces of the Wind & Rain can do to anyone, anytime, just like last boxing days' tidal wave.

After two days of rain, the whole skies seems to be cleaner. The sky is bluer and looks brighter too!

All the dust from the bushfires seems to have been washed away, even the grass looks greener on sides of the road.

There is an air of freshness and GOODNESS around.

Isnt it great to have Washed Skies?

(maybe the skies looked "brighter" because I wiped the wind screen of my car!) hee.... *grin*
