Men Pole Dancing!

Yahoo!!! A first in Singapore!! Because it happened in a Shopping Center on a weekday NIGHT!!! Yahoo....

When I first heard the idea, I cannot stop laughing at how funny it sounds. Although pole dancing is nothing new, it is usually a performance by female dancers who try to be seductive and lure the men to the unimaginables...

In this case, Century Square boldly declared friday night to be a ladies ONLY night and have a whole night of entertainment for females ONLY. The men were given to a treat as well, they can either get a free beer and watch a live female band perform or watch a free movie in the theatre. Quite a cool idea I thought.

So we (Ad and I) went for it! hee... no harm right?? *wink* *wink*

After circling the roads for a while, we finally found a car park entrance, only to realise that we've been fooled to go into the Tampines Mall car park instead! *blah*

Nevermind, we can just walk over to CS... so we walked, as we past one of its entrance, we saw a few angry men arguing with the security officers and also policemen! Woah, they do look furious! For not being able to enter a building which their wives or girlfriends will be treated like princess.... strange people I thought, its a new experience! Embrace it lah! Why fight the fun??

So we headed out to claim a free movie ticket for Ad hee... and he had to dash off for the movie screening has started.... no chance for him to give me a list of to-dos and NOT-to-dos... hee... Heng ah!

Inside, I met one of the brains behind the pole dancing men... and noticed alot of semi-naked men walking bare-footed in full body paint. Some of them were pretty nicely painted even.... but I'm so afraid that if they were too close to me, some of their paints would rub off me hee...

Okies, back to the central theme... the POLE DANCERS!!!

Class 95's Morning Express DJs, Flying Dutchman and Glen Ong were the MCs of the night and they were building up a strong audience for the pole dancing event. They got the floor really packed right infront of the stage... like right SMACK infront of the stage where the dancers can potentially be felt... ahh....


Check out the crowd from the top even hee... that was how popular the event was.


When the 3 men first came out.... they looked so so only lah. For a while, I was ready to leave and go do some shopping, but the MCs were giving so much juicy jokes about the event that I cannot help but stayed for it. The dancers grew more affectionate with their dancing with time and the crowd got more and more rowdy and daring with them as well!



Then they go topless....


And this guy was the HOT fav!!!! Caused tonnes of women to SCREAM!!!


It was so much fun watching the shy Singaporean crowd inch closer to the dancing men hee... especially the aunties that were trying to get themselves camouflaged amongst the younger girls. Initially they were full of self restrain... slowly, they start to cheer, clap, wave their hands in the air and then... start taking out their handphones to take photos of the dancers! Even movie clips!! ha ha ha....
This auntie was checking the movie that she just took to access if she needs to take it again....


Overall, I had great fun, good clean fun, a good laughter because of good crowd management through the MCs and definitely a memorable one for the aunties who now have photos/movies of semi-naked sweaty men doing pole dancing in their hps. HA HA HA
