Female condom, new device to deter men from raping women. Cool, but is it also cruel?

I'm sure the trauma of such an experience is frightening and even depressing (especially if the culture believes that its always the lady's fault for seducing the men's unruly behaviour).

However, like all emotional issues, with the right counselling and maybe even medication, one can get pass the incident and move on with their lives. Some women actually stand out and share their experience to assure other victims that there IS life after being raped or molested.

as for trauma to the rapist and whether it is cruel or not: note! he is raping someone! i would think he's asking for it!
